2- Plug openings

Plugs are most helpful when the basic problems remain limited to a hole dribbling water. In case it’s a clogged drain, you need to open the manhole or drain and clean out the pipes. Use a garden hose to do the job.
6- Add a curtain drain
What if there are no footing drains? It’s time to install a curtain drain that diverts water underground.
It’s a shallow drain trench, almost 2 feet deep, filled with gravel, and perforating piping intercepts the water. It is then carried out at a safe distance. In case the drain passes through a highly vegetative area, with trees and shrubs, switch to solid pipe to reduce risk of roots growing and damaging the pipe.
